Jochen Rieder (born August 12, 1970 in Herxheim near Landau / Pfalz ) is a German conductor .
Jochen Rieder completed extensive music studies. His first engagements as assistant and conductor took him to the Badisches Staatstheater Karlsruhe (1992 to 1995) and to the theater of the Free Hanseatic City of Bremen (1996 to 2001). From 2001 to 2014 he was permanently engaged as Maestro suggeritore at the Zurich Opera House . [1]
In 1997 he received a scholarship from the Richard Wagner Association, and in 2001 and 2002 he worked as Christian Thielemann's assistant on “Die Meistersinger von Nürnberg” in the ensemble of the Bayreuth Festival .
