WittyWorld

This book is the first of a new series showcasing the wittiest, most imaginative and best drawn contemporary political cartoons gracing the pages of the international media. Culled from a search of cartoons from 48 countries, the selected works represent a diversity and superior quality unmatched in political
cartoon anthologies. The perceptions of the featured eleven Pulitzer Prize winning cartoonists and their highly acclaimed international counterparts differ widely, and although some may be contrary to our own viewpoints, the genius of the works
forcibly comes through allowing us to enjoy them anyway. These multiple talented visual journalists exhibit a remarkable ability to elevate even the layman reader to the heights of their philosophical sophistication and extraordinary artistic talent.

The editor, Joe Szabo had been editorial cartoonist, art director and editor with top national daily newspapers and magazines in his native Hungary. As a cartoonist, he has been awarded five international prizes and his works have been published in 24 countries

In 1982, he was granted political asylum and has lived in the United States since then. Szabo is founder and editor-in-chief of WittyWorld International Cartoon Magazine, today reaching over one hundred countries. He initiated, co-organized and chaired the first Budapest International Cartoon Festival in 1990, and is editing and producing "Carrousel," a single panel cartoon series for United Feature Syndicate for world-wide distribution.
