It is not just the public he throws off balance: politicians and other celebrities Oleg lampoons have lauded him or condemned him; Oleg got Yitzhak Rabin to autograph a caricature, but made Shimon Peres so mad that he compared Oleg to the Sturmer cartoonists. Egyptian President Mubarak was so upset by Oleg that he banned The Post in his country; another time, Oleg was arrested and accused of “antisemitism” - in Israel! - for a cartoon he’d drawn. (The Israel Police later rescinded the charges.)
