Lucky Luke

This immortal character has been traveling the history of the American West since 1946. He has met famous people there (Jesse James, Calamity Jane, Billy the Kid, Sarah Bernhardt...). Lucky Luke is the man of impossible missions, the defender of the poor, widows and orphans, in short, the perfect hero! His horse, Jolly Jumper, is a perfect companion for this "poor lonesome cowboy". The Dalton brothers are perpetually standing in Lucky Luke's way, which allows him to continually pursue them and bring them to justice. Another traditional character in the series: Rantanplan, the stupidest dog in the Wild West who lived independently for 2 albums. Lucky Luke is, with Asterix and Tintin, the most famous character in the history of comics: this series, accessible to all, has become a myth thanks to Morris and Goscinny. This character spent most of his formidable career in the pages of SPIROU, PILOTE and LE JOURNAL DE LUCKY LUKE. Merchandising and audiovisual exploitation (including in the United States) allowed Lucky Luke to be introduced to a very wide segment of the population and to several generations of readers. It should be noted that after Goscinny's death, several writers worked on the series: Vicq, De Groot, Fauche and Léturgie, Lodewijk, Lo Hartog Van Banda and Vidal. Most of the albums are published by Dupuis and Dargaud, the new ones by Lucky Productions.
